Adam Osbourne
was an ex-publisher who started the company called Osbourne Computers, and in 1981 produced the first commercially successful portable microcomputer called the Osbourne 1. This portable 'laptop' had a 5" screen, a modem port, 2 floppy drives, it ran the CP/M 2.2 operating system. It weighed 23.5 pounds and cost $1,795.00 US Dollars.

Apple Computers
hit the market in January 1984 as the Macintosh Apple home computer. It had a 9" black & white monitor, it boasted the
speed of 7.83 MHz, had 128 KB of RAM (expandable to 512), 64 KB ROM, 2 serial I/O ports, external floppy, and weighed
about 16.5 pounds. The cost of this high tech computer back then was: $2,495.00 USD. 

Computer 'Bug' term
was first "documented" when a moth found trapped between points at Relay #70, Panel F, of the Mark II Aiken Relay
Calculator while it was being tested at Harvard University on September 9th, 1947. The bug was captured, taped down,
and logged in with the 
entry: "First actual case of bug being found."
